(From Liz) I first met Rose when I came on an organised trip to the Falklands with the F.F.A. My son Mark also came on the trip, we both stayed with Rose and hit it off straight away, and had a great time with Rose and her family. Although we did write occasionally, but as often happens it kind of stopped,but cybergran and dizzylizzie.com were things to come. In the year 2000 I decided to go back and visit the Falklands with a friend Cynthia, who is the secretary of the F.F.A. so I put pen to paper worried Rose would not remember me...but she did, and I have been going back every two years since, this year 2008 I took my friend Jean with me. Rose was a great friend I always felt at home with her, we had good fun together, and I will never forget her. I love the Falkland Islands and I will go back, but it will never be the same with out my dear friend Rose. ( From Jean) I first met Rose on the 4th February 2008, although I had been in contact with Rose throw the computer,also with all the things Liz had told, I felt I had known her all my life; she just made me feel so welcome into her home. Liz and I stayed with Rose for just over two weeks, we had great fun, we would sit in the evening laughing about all the antics we had been upto in the day, her garden was her pride and joy, also her ducks and chicken, and her grandchildren...what can I say, she just loved them so much, I could go on, but, I just would like to say she was a lovely woman with a big heart, and will be sadly missed by all.
